Itinerary
Meet at Denman and Alberni at a bicycle rental shop and pick from hundreds of bikes, including tandem bikes. Fill out a waiver, receive a safety briefing and off you go.
Jump on your bike and make your way around Stanley Park, the way locals do: Along the seawall. Enjoy the beautiful views of the harbor and the Coastal Mountains. Stop for an ice-cream/washroom/beverages at Second Beach. Continue on along English Bay to Yaletown.
Enjoy a ride over False Creek to Granville Island. Lock up your bikes and enjoy the wonders of the Granville Island Public market. Let your guide show you glass-blowers, street-artists and weavers at work. Grab a delicious bite to eat.
Hop back on your bike and cruise along the South Side of False Creek, past the LEED gold-rated Olympic Village and the heart of the 1986 Worlds Fair, Science World.
Turn right at the newly pedestrianized Carall Street and get off your bikes to experience the wonders of Chinatown up close. Get a taste of the real world by skirting the Downtown East-Side. Stroll through Gastown and hop back on the bike at Canada Place.
Cruise past the new Convention Centre and re-join the seawall all the way to Denman & Alberni, where you drop off your bikes.

While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Intrepid Urban Adventures destinations. Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this trip.
